I spent some time this afternoon watching CNN, and they had a long interview with the escort who revealed the Haggard story. It was a pretty sympathetic interview. It was interesting how Mike Jones came to realize that his customer was a church bigwig who preached gay hate – he saw the mans face on a history channel program about the antichrist, then the very next day saw his face again on a TV at the gym that a patron had tuned to a christian channel the night before. You could almost say God wanted Mike Jones to reveal Haggards hypocrisy.
Mike Jones is kind of cute – there’s a pic of him on this cnn page. He looks a bit like me, actually. I’m probably taller.

I wonder what the sex was like? They make a cute couple. Mike Jones looks like he’d be a wondeful top.
At the same time, I can’t help but feel sympathy for Haggard. I know more gay men who hiding than I know who are out. I know what it’s like to have to hide your sexual feelings and your emotional life, to hide yourself all the time. If you happen to have been born in an anti-gay area of the country, hiding is the only thing that is safe to do. So I can understand why Haggard would hide.
But, Ted Haggard, it’s wrong to teach hatred of gay sex in the daytime, then to snort some good crystal and take a big hard cock up your ass at night.
