Let me describe it for you – our dark and muscular stranger is standing, and some lucky guy (imagine it’s me – I sure do) is kneeling in front of his slighly hairly and muscular stomach. The culture of the new company is a lot harsher and more “modern” than the old company. And you probably know what it’s like to be in a takeover like this – the new company wants to rip out the brain of the old company, replace it with their own people and management style, and fire the bottom 25% performers. And – oh crap, here I am thinking and talking about it again!

Then there’s the elephant. The elephant in the room. I’m not out, where I work. I can play it pretty straight, I guess, I’m not even ‘metrosexual’. And I don’t want the new company to find out that I’m gay. Not until the worst part of this takeover is finished.

I’ve always known I’m taking a risk by writing in a blog, but this domain is owned by a friend, and as long as I don’t type in certain names of places and companies and people I think I have enough anonymity to get by.
